About this opportunity :

 

Facilities Technicians are expected to diagnose building and equipment problems and make necessary repairs in a timely and efficient manner and carry out preventive maintenance on process equipment and plant systems and equipment. The position includes hands on maintenance, upkeep, and troubleshooting of facilities and process equipment, as well as documentation pertaining to all maintenance activities.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Execute work order requests managed through the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Perform preventive maintenance and assist with calibration of equipment and systems at scheduled intervals.
  • Regularly inspect and assess operating conditions of assigned equipment and analyze trends to improve preventative and prescriptive maintenance plans.
  • Diagnose problems with building facilities, utilities, and equipment.
  • Assist with installation of equipment, adhering to basic safety and maintenance procedures for new equipment.
  • Communicate and coordinate work with outside contractors and services companies.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory, communicating with manufacturers and vendors to obtain replacement and change parts needed to ensure minimal interruption in equipment function.
  • Record all preventative maintenance, repairs, or other equipment services in appropriate document or digital format in accordance with Good Documentation Practices and GMP records retention.
  • Edit and / or write SOP’s and PM procedures as needed.
  • Write deviation reports and work with multiple departments to ensure reports are thorough, accurate, and completed on or before deadlines assigned.

 

Job Knowledge Required

 

  • High school diploma required.
  • Associates Degree, Certification, or License in any relevant maintenance trade preferred
  • General understanding of the key elements of process maintenance: safety, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and piping systems, pumps, compressors, valves, controls, and chemical handling.
  • 5+ years of maintenance/repair experience
  • Experience working in a cGMP environment is preferred
  • Basic proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Outlook.


Physical Requirements / Environmental Conditions

 

  • Ability to push/lift 75 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
  • Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching, using fine motor skills as jobs require
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures
  • Working in high noise levels requiring hearing protection
  • Working around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paints, dust, etc. with proper PPE

 

The annualized salary range for this position is $75,000.00 - $91,800.00.
