About this opportunity :

 

The Associate Director of Business Planning is responsible for leading the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process at Avecia. This role serves as a key connector between sales, manufacturing, supply chain and project management. The Associate Director, Business Planning will develop and monitor S&OP metrics, with the focus on continuously improving our process and planning. This role will drive decision-making and provide visibility to the Nitto Avecia’s project portfolio.  

Key Responsibilities:  

 

  • Through collaboration across business development, manufacturing, supply chain and project management implement an integrated end-to-end process for sales and operations planning.  
  • Review, analyze and consolidate capacity, manufacturing plans, and sales forecast for all Nitto Avecia sites into a cohesive plan, highlighting gaps, issues and areas for leadership decision making. 
  • Facilitate monthly sales and operations planning meetings with Avecia leadership team. 
  • Develop a harmonized output that includes forecast, project portfolio, decisions, and actions from the S&OP meeting(s). 
  • Support ad-hoc scenario planning activities.  
  • Define, track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics to measure the effectiveness of the S&OP process. 
  • Refine KPIs overtime based on the level of maturity of the S&OP process. 
  • Assess existing systems and develop short and long-term solutions. 
  • Partner with digital transformation to determine opportunities to utilize existing data reporting capabilities and potential AI capabilities. 
  • Lead the identification and evaluation of areas for S&OP process improvements. 
  • Partner with functional area leadership on long range planning, inventory management and resource planning activities. 
  • Maintain up to date on core training requirements. 

 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

 

  • B.S. degree with 5 or more years of supply chain or business planning experience. 
  • Knowledge of bulk API manufacturing and I or a strong background in cGMP / contract manufacturing. 
  • Proven track record of leading S&OP processes.  
  • Proficiency in developing workflows and maximizing utilization of SAP. 
  • Excellent meeting facilitation skills. 
  • Deep knowledge and practical experience applying change management practices.  
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong business acumen. 
  • Proven track record of strong matrix leadership. 
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities. 
  • Experience with AI and advanced supply chain technologies. 

 

The annualized salary range for this role is $132,778 – $162,000.
