About this opportunity :

 

The Associate Project Manager supports the full portfolio of customer projects through direct support of the existing project management team. This role is responsible for ensuring that the project metrics and financial reporting are always kept up to date in accordance with Avecia’s policies and procedures.  The Associate Project Manager will support specific projects, as assigned and under the direction of the Project Manager. The Associate Project Manager will support the internal Avecia project governance meetings and will support other internal project management optimization projects.  

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Support project delivery through ensuring that the project metrics for all projects are accurately tracked and reported through the appropriate forums. 
  • Support project change order requests.  
  • Set-up new projects in our internal systems (SAP, etc).  
  • As assigned, support a Project Manager on a defined project through collecting agenda items, publishing meeting agendas, taking meeting minutes, publishing meeting minutes and following up on status of tasks within Avecia. 
  • Prepare internal project documentation such as work orders and amendments, sampling forms, packaging plans, and shipping requests. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Finance, ensuring that they receive timely invoices according to proposal & change order milestones and monthly revenue recognition updates. 
  • Through collaboration with the project management staff, facilitate the creation of the meeting agenda and meeting materials. 
  • Ensure that meeting agenda and meeting materials are sent a minimum of 24 hours prior to the meeting. 
  • Recommend and support optimization to the internal project governance meetings. 
  • Document meeting minutes and distribution to all attendees within 24 hours of the meeting. 
  • Maintain up to date on core training requirements. 
  • Assist in the tracking and presentation of Project Management KPI’s 
  • Participate in project process improvements. 

 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

 

  • B.S. degree and 0-2 years of Project Management experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a biotech/pharmaceutical company or contract manufacturing organization 
  • Knowledge of bulk API manufacturing and / or a strong background in CGMP / contract manufacturing. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills  

 

The annualized salary range for this position is $75,400.00 - $92,300.00.
