About this opportunity :

 

In this position, you' will provide support for the operation of the facility bulk chemical distribution systems and waste management systems. This role is responsible for overseeing the loading, offloading, and connection of bulk solvents as well as monitoring waste accumulation.  

 

Key Responsibilities:  

 

  • Responsible for all operating activities associated with the facility tank farms including loading, offloading, and general care and maintenance of the area. 
  • Work with Facilities technicians to diagnosis and repair issues related to bulk solvent distribution or waste collection. 
  • Monitor facility waste accumulation and work with supply logistics for scheduling of waste vendors. 
  • Monitor facility bulk solvent system and coordinate with supply chain logistics for scheduling of deliveries. 
  • Develop and improve on procedures relevant to the operation and maintenance of the bulk distribution systems. 
  • May be responsible for chemical transport between buildings on campus. 
  • Must work across different functions to coordinated schedules. 

 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

 

  • High school graduate with relevant bulk chemical handling experience is required. 
  • Extensive knowledge of bulk distribution systems and/or chemical waste handing including making and breaking connection within waste and distribution systems is strongly desired.  
  • Knowledge of Hazardous Waste Generator Regulations 
  • Knowledge of DOT, Hazmat, OSHA, EPA and other regulations as required 
  • Knowledge of cGMP or other regulated operations is preferred.  
  • Experience with pumps and pumping system is preferred.  
  • Additional trainings and certifications relevant to Chemical / Waste management is required. 
  • Ability to transport 55-gallon drums using a drum dolly.
