Manufacturing Materials Support Specialist (2nd Shift)

About this opportunity :

Manufacturing Materials Support Specialist serves as a liaison between the manufacturing team and the materials management team to assure all manufacturing related activities and expectations are communicated to manufacturing resources management.  Must work efficiently and follow all procedures for producing quality products as well as following safety, cGMP and quality procedures.  In addition to this responsibility the person in this role must be able to interact well with other employees and be a self-starter and able to work without close supervision.  This is a second shift position and comes with an 15% shift differential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the implementation of assigned procedures working within defined schedules.
• Responsible for performing all work within company and cGMP regulatory compliance.
• Responsible for staying current with the prescribed training curriculum specified for the job title. 
• Performs cycle counts on all items when due and as assigned
• Assist the department with inventory control needs 
• Responsible for inventory obsolescence
• Maintains manufacturing material inventory area in a neat, orderly fashion according to regulatory and company requirements
• Assist in the delivery of non-hazardous raw materials to Manufacturing (Box Truck Operation)
• Receive and maintains all raw materials in manufacturing.
   

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of chemical/biotechnology manufacturing processes and equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of electronic inventory systems. SAP experience preferred.
• Knowledge of material and equipment flow strategies.
• Knowledge of LEAN, 5S and/or Six Sigma strategies.
