About this opportunity :

 

The Production Scheduler plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials to meet production requirements. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability and potential production issues to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed; schedules equipment and personnel; confirms material supply and demands; coordinates interdepartmental activity with manufacturing, quality control and assurance, supply chain, engineering, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of materials. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

 

  • Develop and maintain the resource material planning through the life cycle of the project (Ordering, tracking delivery, tracking quality control analysis, providing insight to stakeholders on need by date, and ensuring delivery for use on time and in full to Manufacturing.
  • Support Planning process, particularly the Supply Planning Step.
  • Manage inventory overstock.
  • Review and manage change requests from customers making appropriate reschedules in accordance with the master Schedule, and material needs.
  • Work to maintain stability in the Master Schedule, while being responsive to the needs of customers.
  • Allow no past dues in the Master Schedule.
  • Proper utilization of ERP system (SAP S4/Hana)
  • Escalate raw material order or delivery concerns that may hinder initiation of a project.
  • Inform stakeholder, of any issues that impact the mater schedule related to material delivery.
  • Execute other duties and special projects as assigned.

 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

 

  • The minimum education required for holding the position is a BS Degree, specific APICS courses on Supply Chain Management and/or master Production Scheduling. The position requires 5+ years of experience in a planning/manufacturing/supply chain environment.
  • Experience in a Scheduler role, preferably within a GMP (Good Manufacturing Principles) environment.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to measure and report metrics (KPI's) and help to identify issues through peers and manager through root cause analysis
  • Experience with production scheduling systems and ERP systems, SAP preferred.
  • Competent using MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with SAP, LIMS, MES (Syncade) other MRP systems.
  • Strong technical writing written.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and guidelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under established guidelines and instructions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment.
  • Working knowledge of relevant and current FDA, EU, ICH guidelines and regulations.
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize and complete multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.

 

The annualized salary range for this position is $89,900.00 - $110,000.00.
