About this opportunity :

 

The Program Manager is responsible for leading organizational continuous improvement initiatives to improve Nitto Avecia’s Social and Governance processes, and the internal Nitto Minimum Standards (NIMS) governance program for Nitto Avecia’s systems compliance.

This role oversees complex, cross-functional projects that support the company’s long-term environmental sustainability goals as well as its internal compliance and process standardization efforts. The Program Manager provides structure, oversight, and strategic alignment across program areas, ensuring that initiatives are delivered effectively, risks are managed, and outcomes align with corporate priorities. This position partners closely with functional leaders, project teams, and executive sponsors to track progress, coordinate resources, and support continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Internal Governance Program Management

  • Manage and report on the internal governance Nitto Minimum Standards (NIMS) program.
  • Complete and oversee data collection for the annual internal compliance survey.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to compliance and risk reduction.
  • Support internal audits and group activities, providing guidance to Nitto Avecia SMEs.
  • Prepare for NIMS audits by proactively monitoring documentation status and identifying potential risk gaps.
  • Risk Management. Collect risk information from operating departments and central functions and report summary to stakeholders.
  • Raise awareness of general risks and promote risk reduction activities within the company
  • Participate as a member of the Compliance Committee.

 

Social and Governance Program Management

  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert (SME) for Social and Governance at Nitto Avecia.
  • Lead and track project management for Social and Governance strategy execution aligned with Nitto, Nitto Avecia, and client goals.
  • Engage key stakeholders to define and refine the organization’s Social and Governance priorities.
  • Organize and facilitate the Sustainability Core Team composed of technical SMEs to drive process / engineering improvements for carbon reduction activities.
  • Coordinate responses to external sustainability surveys (e.g., EcoVadis, Activate M2030).
  • Track and report key sustainability / Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance indicators to meet external client stakeholder expectations.
  • Manage sustainability-related client project requirements, collaborating with internal teams as needed.

 

General Program and Project Management

  • Lead internal, capital, and continuous improvement (CI) projects as assigned.
  • Coordinate or perform collection and maintenance of compliance documentation and KPIs.
  • Make recommendations for ongoing process improvements and risk mitigation.
  • Develop and deliver training programs related to the role.
  • Act as primary point of contact for clients on Social and Governance related matters.
  • Travel occasionally to support program objectives.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

 

  • Demonstrated project management skills on technical projects with 2-3+ years of hands-on experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of risk management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sustainability / Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)
  • Process engineering, chemistry or similar technical background in a closely related field preferred.
  • Detail orientation, organization and program management skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and external survey data input.

 

The annualized salary range for this role is $99,000.00- $121,000.00/
