POSITION OVERVIEW:


Under general supervision, develops sales and Asian business development strategies as well as manage the operations within the India Region. Develop sales strategies and forecasts sales volumes for industrial and municipal base business, project business and process separation products, including attaining or motivating Regional Account Executives to attain sales objectives. Manages the Japan sales engineering team to address regional and internal customer concerns and facilitate next generation growth strategies for new application products such as Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) within the Northeast and Southeast Asia region. Provides direction, counsels, trains, guidance and supervision to sales and sales engineering staff. In addition, may provide oversight and guidance at a local level to marketing, customer service, technical services, logistics and administrative staff.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develops and identifies sales and business development strategies, including implementation of strategies within the sub-continent and the successful launch of new products such as ZLD.
  2. Builds relationships at the top levels with key account customers which benefits Hydranautics’ business, including OEM’s, engineering firms, consultants, key municipalities and governments.
  3. Explores new product applications and new business generation through knowledge of customer needs and in collaboration with R&D and sales engineering teams. Participates in new product recommendations and introduction for market share; strengthens marketing efforts for new technologies.
  4. Manages sales engineering staff to address customer concerns and collaborate with customer on next generation technical improvements and needs in order to facilitate increased sales and new market penetration.
  5. Creates organizational structure for the sales and support team while partnering with corporate Human Resources in recruiting, interviewing, selecting for promotion or new hire, including on-going training and development of staff.
  6. Other duties as assigned.

  4. Japan Sales Engineering Staff

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:

  1. Bachelor in Science, Engineering or Business Administration and 5 years’ experience in a technical sales environment within the water industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Three (3) years management experience, preferred.
  3.  Knowledge of business management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques and organization of people; ability to understand organization’s strategy within the water treatment industry.
  4. Successful leadership skills, including team development, team goal setting, conflict resolution, training and development, including supervising staff remotely.
  5. Proven success in a relationship driven business as demonstrated by a proven successful sales record (within the last three years, preferable).
  6.  Advanced language skills with the ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. 
  7. Travel for extended periods and work with a flexible schedule.
