POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under direct supervision, set-up, start-up and monitor automated robotic packaging machines. Observe and respond to robotic work stoppage issues such as local cell failures or lack of materials; resolve issue and restart robotic automation using HMI control panel or local control pendant. Complete conductivity and pH tests for finished-goods products. Replenish materials as necessary in automated machines. Remove finished goods by pallet jack and generate pallet LPN documentation. Report major issues to Supervisor and/or Maintenance.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Sets-up and operates industrial robotic packaging machines using automated systems for product identification, SBS solution application, bagging, boxing and palletizing.

  2. Enters commands to start robotic operation, monitors machines and HMI screens for malfunctions and/or error messages, being cognizant of all emergency stop buttons, light curtains and sensors within the automated machines.

  3. Identifies, operates and accesses proper sequences for robotic set-up and packaging line start up.

  4. Reviews daily production schedule with management to determine needed materials based on product type.

  5. Trouble shoots, observes and responds to robotic work stoppage issues and restarts automated machine using HMI control panel. Notifies Supervisor and/or Maintenance to troubleshoot and correct equipment issues.

  6. Ensures proper pH and conductivity to specified ranges and records data on log. Notifies supervisor of any non-conformities.

  7. Maintains daily, weekly and monthly productivity goals set by production management.

  8. Documents product data information such as conductivity and pH testing on production logs, reports or summaries as well as any other record keeping activities as they pertain to products throughout shift.

  9. Follows all safety, quality, and lean manufacturing policies, processes or procedures including keeping work station and area clean in accordance with 5S principles.

  10. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:

  1. High school diploma or GED; and 1-year manufacturing experience, preferably with automated robotic equipment; or equivalent combination of education and experience; or six months Hydranautics manufacturing experience.

  2. Basic to intermediate language skills, including verbal and written proficiency in English; ability to read work instructions in English.

  3. Basic computer skills to operate computer automated equipment; recognize operating boxes, symbols and colors on the automated control panel.

  4. Solid critical thinking skills to determine what to question, how to proceed and when to proceed in completing a task or requesting assistance.

  5. Work independently and foster a cooperative spirit.

  6. Ability to work in a detailed-oriented atmosphere with accurate record-keeping. Outstanding follow-through to meet production requirements.

  7. Recognize numbers and millimeters and perform basic mathematical calculations with the aid of a basic hand-held calculator.

  8. Deal with standard and basic non-complex issues; intermediate problem-solving ability; carry out moderately complex verbal and written work instructions.

Salary $20.20 - $20.20
