JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, Translate and deploy the Division’s strategy and direction to the team, set team KPIs, and proactively lead and motivate team members to achieve those KPIs.
Manage the day‑to‑day activities of technical staff within an assigned international territory. Provide and analyze design information to evaluate the risk level of new projects. Ensure financial decisions are made to optimize the Technical Department objectives within the Technology Business Unit. Sustain, analyze, and communicate technical information on products, performance, and applications of the organization’s products across the company. Identify and develop new technologies or new applications for existing or modified products. Write technical reports and technical papers, and meet with high‑level customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and/or RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Translate and deploy the Division’s strategy and direction to the team, set team KPIs, and proactively lead and motivate team members to achieve those KPIs.

3. Provides day-to-day leadership to staff including but not limited to recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, and assigning and evaluating work of employees, as well as conflict resolution; develops personal growth opportunities for staff; completes and conducts 90-day feedback and annual performance evaluations.
4. Create Case study, writes product specifications and technical papers including presenting information at National and International conferences.
5. Confirms projection software is up to date to conduct technical data processing and evaluation.
6. Evaluates performance of company’s products and completes a comparative analysis of competitor’s products. Provides and communicates technical informational database on company’s product technology.
7. Arranges technical support and training for customers and sales staff regarding company’s products.
8. Advises customers on the impact of pretreatment and post-treatment technologies.
9. Sustains good working relationships with key, high-level technical personnel in companies with which the company has a strategic relationship.
10. Ensures company’s technology meets contractual values or communicates to senior management about the risk level with contractual obligations.
11. Develops new applications and/or process design which will give the company’s products an advantage in the industry, including patent novel process concepts.
12. Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:
1. Technical Support Engineer
MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelor, Engineering, or related field; and 15 years’ directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Master, Engineering or related field, a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:
1. Lead team members to proactively engage customers with clear value propositions
2. Ability to hire, train, develop, evaluate, lead and direct work and discipline staff, taking corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policies and Nitto’s Business Conduct Guidelines. Solid leadership skills, including team development, team goal setting, conflict resolution, mentoring, coaching, and training.
3. Working knowledge of water chemistry concepts, fluid flow and water pressure, analytical methods, and technical writing standards.
4. Solid ability to conduct analytical evaluations and identify root causes of failures, make recommendations for corrective actions to improve product.
5. Knowledge of the construction and manufacturing of Spiral Wound elements and Capillary modules, modes of failure or membrane systems and the effects of cleaning chemicals on the products.
6. Solid verbal and written communication skills with ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write moderately complex reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical customers clearly in the English language/
7. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project Management.
8. Write clear processes, manuals and reports for management review and present technical information in understandable terms and respond to questions from groups of customers, employees and/or public.
9. Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
10. Read, discern, and generate P&ID and PFD drawings.
11. Work independently as well as in a small and/or large group and foster cooperation in a team environment using interpersonal skills; ability to provide a high-level customer service through effective interpersonal skills, conflict resolution and prioritization of multiple customer’s needs.
12. Work in a detail-oriented environment with strong follow-through and organizational skills.
13. Travel for extended periods and work with a flexible schedule.
14. Bilingual or Multi-lingual in languages frequently used within the Nitto Group of Companies employees and/or customers, specifically fluent in the language most used in regions organization is providing the service.

Salary $107,000 - $140,000
