Essential Duties:
Develop, optimize, and oversee manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and ensure high quality production. Work closely with production teams, conducting process analysis and implementing improvements to meet organizational goals. Utilize knowledge of various materials for bonding, sealing, insulation, and dampening applications, converting processes for automotive parts in interior, exterior, and electronic applications to perform value stream mapping, time studies, capacity analysis, layout/production flow analysis, and document standard work in a high volume, high variation facility, to identify waste. Analyze product specs and performance requirements to determine process and tooling designs and costs for new product and confirm manufacturing capabilities, including feasibility review, PFMEA, and process validation. Drive projects to increase productivity, reduce lead-time, improve quality, and cost savings applying knowledge of Standard Cost management, Statistical analysis using Minitab, Process improvement utilizing Lean Six Sigma, Investment planning, Project management, Tooling design using AutoCAD, including the design review and approval process for related capital investments. Communicate with management and other personnel to develop productions and design standards. Enhance and develop standard operating procedures and support the training of production staff.
Travel Requirements:
- Domestic – Travel to HQ (Teaneck, NJ) or Lakewood MFG plant (Lakewood, NJ) for training, tradeshows or machine manufacturer locations, and customer locations (estimate: once a
- month)
- International – Travel to Nitto converting sites in Mexico, Europe, Japan, and China (depends on business needs – estimate: once per quarter)
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or closely related
- 2 years of experience in job offered or related
- 2 years of experience includes knowledge/skills of:
- Various materials for bonding, sealing, insulation, and dampening applications
- Converting processes for automotive parts in interior, exterior, and electronic applications
- Costing and cost analysis, Standard Cost management, Value stream mapping, Statistical analysis using Minitab, Process improvement utilizing Lean Six Sigma, Investment planning,
- Project management, Tooling design using AutoCAD
Salary Range:
$ 78,853 ~ $120,000 per year
