Our Position
OT Engineer — bridging the gap between IT and the shop floor
The fields of Engineering and IT are becoming increasingly complementary to one another — especially within industry, where processes are continuously being improved. This has given rise to a new discipline: Operational Technology.
You make sure our factory automation doesn't just run — it's built to last. As an OT Engineer, you are the technical backbone of our production environment: from industrial networks to cybersecurity, from SCADA to MES integration.
Your role - What will you be doing?
- You are responsible for the effectiveness, improvement, and continuity of our automated business processes, as well as the long-term vision between IT and the shop floor.
- Perform troubleshooting and analysis for complex failures in hardware and software (client/server, hosting, network, data communication, MES).
- Serve as the central point of contact — both internally and externally — for OT-related matters and advise stakeholders accordingly.
- Apply lifecycle management to OT assets and oversee software change management (change control).
- Contribute to the execution of our procedures within the OT environment.
- Optimize our cybersecurity posture — an increasingly critical component of the OT domain.
- Stay up to date with new technological developments and translate these into practical applications within our organization.
Your Profile
What we are looking for:
- You have a genuine passion for OT.
- Proven experience in OT cybersecurity within industrial environments, including knowledge of OT protocols (such as OPC UA, PROFINET, MQTT) and frameworks such as IEC 62443.
- Understanding of EU cybersecurity regulations, particularly the NIS2 directive.
- Strong OT knowledge: network systems (Profinet/Profibus, hosting, firewall configuration, network segmentation), system hardening, factory automation, and cybersecurity.
- Knowledge of server and PC systems (VMware, Microsoft Windows) and industrial networks.
- Knowledge of SCADA and familiarity with processes within an industrial environment.
- You are customer-focused, results-driven, analytical, and precise — with a strong awareness of safety and quality.
