Nitto Belgium established itself in Genk in 1974 and is the largest production site in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East & Africa) for the Japanese Nitto Group. With over 500 employees, we develop and produce sealing materials and various industrial adhesive tapes such as double-sided tapes and surface protection tapes for industries including automotive, electronics, furniture, paper production, aviation, and metal processing.

 

Our Position

We are looking for an OT Engineer with a passion for technology, innovation, and digitization who enjoys delving into complex matters. Together with the IT/OT team, you will take steps in the renewal of our industrial network and contribute to integration with other systems such as SCADA, MES, HMI, DCS, and IIoT. You will be part of a team of OT and IT Engineers led by an IT/OT Manager.

As an OT Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Manage and create our industrial/OT network
  • Install and configure various SCADA systems for real-time monitoring of production
  • Develop user interfaces with HMI for easy operation of our machines
  • Manage PCs, servers, and desktops in our production environment, including troubleshooting and optimization of SCADA, HMI, and DCS
  • Manage data in the organization using industrial systems and dashboard tools

Your Profile

A good OT Engineer possesses:

  • A passion for technology and an interest in production environments
  • Some familiarity with OT architecture (both software, server, and network setup), industrial networks, SCADA, HMI, DCS, IIoT... and industrial data protocols such as OPC UA
  • Good communication skills to engage and collaborate with other departments
  • Strong analytical skills and creativity in finding solutions
  • A keen interest in continuous learning in the above areas and innovating
